TERMS AND COnDITIONS

TERMS & CONDITIONS

By scheduling an appointment, paying a deposit, approving an estimate, signing a work order, or allowing Rapid Window Tinting to perform any service, the customer acknowledges they have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Estimates & Pricing

  • All estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
  • Pricing is based on standard vehicles in average condition.
  • Additional charges may apply for oversized vehicles, lifted vehicles, commercial vehicles, specialty vehicles, older vehicles, excessive dirt, previous tint removal, damaged glass, or any condition requiring additional labor.
  • Any changes requested after an estimate has been approved may result in additional charges.

2. Deposits

  • Deposits may be required to reserve an appointment.
  • Deposits are non-refundable if the customer cancels without proper notice, fails to appear, or refuses service after materials have been prepared.
  • Deposits will be applied toward the final invoice unless otherwise stated.

3. Appointment Policy

  • Customers are expected to arrive on time.
  • Appointments arriving more than 15 minutes late may be rescheduled.
  • A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.
  • No-shows or repeated late arrivals may result in forfeiture of deposits and refusal of future service.

4. Vehicle Cleanliness

Customers are responsible for bringing their vehicle to their appointment in reasonably clean condition.

For the best installation results:

  • Please wash your vehicle before your appointment.
  • Windows should be free of excessive dirt, mud, dust, grease, pet hair, smoke residue, sap, stickers, tape residue, and other contaminants.

Rapid Window Tinting is not responsible for imperfections caused by dirty vehicles, contaminated glass, or poor vehicle condition.

If a vehicle is excessively dirty, we reserve the right to:

  • Charge an additional cleaning fee.
  • Reschedule the appointment.
  • Refuse service.

Customers bringing excessively dirty vehicles should not expect a perfect installation. While we will always do our best, vehicle cleanliness directly affects the final appearance of the tint.

5. Vehicle Condition

Rapid Window Tinting is not responsible for defects caused by the condition of the vehicle before installation.

Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Scratched glass
  • Pitted glass
  • Rock chips
  • Defroster line damage
  • Factory glass imperfections
  • Previous tint damage
  • Rust
  • Water leaks
  • Failing window seals
  • Damaged trim
  • Previous body repairs
  • Previous glass replacement
  • Aging adhesives
  • Loose moldings
  • Worn weather stripping
  • Weak window regulators
  • Existing interior damage

Pre-2000 vehicles may require additional labor and may not achieve factory-like results due to age and condition.

6. Risk of Damage During Installation

Rapid Window Tinting exercises reasonable care and industry-standard installation practices while working on every vehicle.

Window tint installation and tint removal require working around delicate vehicle components including electronics, trim panels, weather stripping, sensors, cameras, moldings, dashboards, glass, and interior panels.

While every effort is made to protect your vehicle, some damage or component failure may occur due to:

  • Vehicle age
  • Hidden defects
  • Previous repairs
  • Worn materials
  • Manufacturer defects
  • Existing damage
  • Improper previous repairs
  • The normal installation process

Rapid Window Tinting shall not be responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing conditions, worn or defective components, hidden defects, manufacturer defects, or the normal tint installation or tint removal process when reasonable care has been exercised.

Pre-existing damage may be photographed before installation.

7. Aftermarket Accessories & Modifications

Rapid Window Tinting is not responsible for damage to or failure of aftermarket or non-factory accessories during the normal tint installation or removal process.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Dash cameras
  • Radar detectors
  • GPS units
  • Phone mounts
  • Hardwired phone chargers
  • LED lighting
  • Ambient lighting
  • Stereo systems
  • Amplifiers
  • Subwoofers
  • Remote start systems
  • Alarm systems
  • Speakers
  • Vinyl wraps
  • Paint Protection Film (PPF)
  • Windshield Protection Film (WPF)
  • Stickers
  • Decals
  • Window visors
  • Wind deflectors
  • Custom trim pieces
  • Aftermarket weather stripping
  • Interior modifications
  • Parking sensors
  • Cameras
  • Hidden wiring
  • Third-party installed accessories

Customers are responsible for informing Rapid Window Tinting of any aftermarket equipment before work begins.

Rapid Window Tinting is not responsible for damage caused by improperly installed aftermarket equipment, hidden wiring, adhesives, or modifications performed by third parties.

8. Tint Removal

Removal pricing is estimated before work begins.

Rapid Window Tinting is not responsible for:

  • Damaged defroster lines
  • Existing glass damage
  • Adhesive failure
  • Previous poor-quality installations
  • Damage caused by deteriorated tint film

Rear defroster lines may already be weakened before removal. Customers acknowledge and accept this risk.

9. Installation

Installation times are estimates only.

Unexpected circumstances may delay completion.

Rapid Window Tinting reserves the right to extend installation time to ensure proper workmanship.

10. Window Tint Curing

Customers understand that the following are normal during the curing process:

  • Moisture
  • Water pockets
  • Haze
  • Slight distortion

Customers agree not to roll windows down until instructed by Rapid Window Tinting.

Failure to follow aftercare instructions may void the warranty.

11. Warranty

Rapid Window Tinting warrants its workmanship against:

  • Peeling
  • Bubbling
  • Lifting
  • Delamination
  • Installation defects

Manufacturer warranties vary depending on film type.

Warranty service is limited to repair or replacement of defective film.

No cash refunds will be issued.

12. Warranty Exclusions

Warranty does not cover:

  • Accidents
  • Abuse
  • Neglect
  • Glass breakage
  • Vandalism
  • Environmental damage
  • Chemical damage
  • Improper cleaning
  • Razor blade damage
  • Defroster damage
  • Third-party repairs
  • Customer modifications
  • Acts of God
  • Failure to follow care instructions

13. No Refund Policy

All sales are final.

Once materials have been installed or services have been completed, Rapid Window Tinting does not offer refunds.

If an installation issue covered under warranty exists, Rapid Window Tinting will repair or replace the affected film at its discretion.

Customers agree to allow Rapid Window Tinting a reasonable opportunity to inspect and correct any covered issue before seeking any other remedy.

14. Customer Conduct

Rapid Window Tinting reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service at any time.

Aggressive, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or inappropriate behavior toward employees will result in immediate termination of service.

Any deposits, labor, materials, or custom products already provided will not be refunded.

15. Limitation of Liability

Rapid Window Tinting will exercise reasonable care while working on every vehicle.

However, by authorizing work, the customer acknowledges that window tint installation and removal involve inherent risks.

Rapid Window Tinting shall not be liable for damages resulting from:

  • Pre-existing vehicle conditions
  • Hidden defects
  • Manufacturer defects
  • Worn vehicle components
  • Aging materials
  • Normal installation procedures
  • Tint removal procedures
  • Aftermarket accessories
  • Third-party modifications
  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

Rapid Window Tinting shall not be responsible for:

  • Rental vehicles
  • Loss of vehicle use
  • Lost wages
  • Travel expenses
  • Towing
  • Incidental damages
  • Consequential damages
  • Lost profits

Our maximum liability, if any, shall never exceed the amount paid for the specific service performed.

16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of South Dakota.

Any legal action arising from these services shall be brought exclusively in the appropriate court located in Pennington County, South Dakota, unless otherwise required by law.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be unenforceable, all remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

18. Acceptance

By scheduling an appointment, paying a deposit, approving an estimate, signing a work order, or allowing Rapid Window Tinting to perform services, the customer acknowledges they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
